All participants are expected to engage respectfully.

Disruptive, discriminatory, or disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated.
-
Everyone has the right to be heard; no one voice should dominate the conversation.
2. Inclusivity
-
Events are open and welcoming to all community members.
-
Bilingual participation is encouraged; translation or interpretation support will be provided when possible.
-
Cultural traditions, identities, and lived experiences should be honored and respected.
3. Accessibility
-
Venues will be selected with accessibility in mind (parking, ramps, restrooms, seating).
-
Materials will be provided in accessible formats (large print, bilingual handouts, etc.) whenever possible.
-
Accommodations requests should be made in advance so CTA can meet participant needs.
4. Confidentiality & Safety
-
Participants are encouraged to share personal stories, but only to the extent they feel comfortable.
-
Respect privacy: do not share another person’s story outside the event without their permission.
-
Harassment, intimidation, or unsafe behavior is grounds for removal from the event.
5. Nonpartisanship
-
While politics and civic engagement are discussed, CTA events are nonpartisan.
-
Candidates, campaigns, or partisan materials may not be promoted or distributed during events.
6. Community Action
-
Conversations should aim to move toward constructive ideas and shared solutions.
-
Notes and key themes may be collected by CTA to inform future advocacy, but participants will always be credited collectively, not individually, unless they give permission.
