EVENT POLICY.

1. Respectful Dialogue

  • All participants are expected to engage respectfully.

  • Disruptive, discriminatory, or disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated.

  • Everyone has the right to be heard; no one voice should dominate the conversation.

2. Inclusivity

  • Events are open and welcoming to all community members.

  • Bilingual participation is encouraged; translation or interpretation support will be provided when possible.

  • Cultural traditions, identities, and lived experiences should be honored and respected.

3. Accessibility

  • Venues will be selected with accessibility in mind (parking, ramps, restrooms, seating).

  • Materials will be provided in accessible formats (large print, bilingual handouts, etc.) whenever possible.

  • Accommodations requests should be made in advance so CTA can meet participant needs.

4. Confidentiality & Safety

  • Participants are encouraged to share personal stories, but only to the extent they feel comfortable.

  • Respect privacy: do not share another person’s story outside the event without their permission.

  • Harassment, intimidation, or unsafe behavior is grounds for removal from the event.

5. Nonpartisanship

  • While politics and civic engagement are discussed, CTA events are nonpartisan.

  • Candidates, campaigns, or partisan materials may not be promoted or distributed during events.

6. Community Action

  • Conversations should aim to move toward constructive ideas and shared solutions.

  • Notes and key themes may be collected by CTA to inform future advocacy, but participants will always be credited collectively, not individually, unless they give permission.
