Description:There’s nothing more natural in Latino culture than gathering over a cup of coffee to talk, connect, and share ideas. Cafecito con la Comunidad creates a relaxed, welcoming space where neighbors can come together to discuss the issues that matter most—from everyday concerns like safety, schools, and jobs to broader challenges such as housing, healthcare, and civic participation.
Unlike formal meetings or panels, this cafecito is built around conversation, trust, and community connection. Attendees are invited to pull up a chair, sip coffee, and exchange perspectives in both English and Spanish, ensuring that every voice can be heard.
Purpose:
Provide an informal, culturally rooted space for dialogue and problem-solving
Encourage open discussion of community challenges without the pressure of a formal agenda
Identify shared concerns and priorities directly from residents
