About the event
On July 15, 2026, Community Transformation Alliance hosted the Legislative Changemakers Advocacy Academy at the Texas State Capitol in Austin, bringing together community members for a day of leadership development, civic education, and advocacy.
Participants explored the Texas legislative process, engaged with experienced leaders and advocates, and learned practical strategies for effectively communicating with elected officials. Through interactive discussions and hands-on learning, attendees gained valuable tools to advocate for the issues that matter most to their communities.
The Legislative Changemakers Advocacy Academy reflects Community Transformation Alliance’s commitment to empowering residents with the knowledge, confidence, and skills to become active participants in the democratic process. By investing in local leaders, we are helping build stronger, more informed communities that are prepared to create lasting, positive change.
