November Plática: “Barriers at the Ballot Box”

The Community Transformation Alliance invites you to an important community conversation focused on the real challenges people face when trying to cast their vote. While voting is a fundamental right, too many community members still encounter barriers that make the process confusing, frustrating, or even impossible.

In this plática, we will create space for participants to share their experiences and explore solutions together. Our discussion will cover:

• Transportation, accessibility, and language barriers that make it difficult for some voters to reach polling places or fully participate in the process.

• Misinformation and confusion about voting rules, including changing laws and requirements that can leave voters unsure about their rights.

• Community-driven solutions—how neighbors, local organizations, and advocates can work together to remove obstacles and ensure every eligible voter has the opportunity to cast a ballot with confidence.
